However many rides have a ride web site or a ride schedule - these should be checked for any special fees or charges, and details of any special classes or rules at the Ride. If the ride is a \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003emulti day\u003c/span\u003e event, then a special fee may be payable for the class. The fees for camping and corralling will also be listed together with any other special items e.g. Buffet meal etc.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u0026nbsp;\u003cstrong\u003eRide Details\u003c/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cspan class=\"GramE\"\u003eYour\u003c/span\u003e ride details should arrive after the close of entries, probably about a week before the event but if you do not remember to put sufficient stamps on the SAE it may be delayed! The details will include vet time, a route map, a ride information sheet with directions to the Venue, an emergency phone number and your vet sheet. They may also include a crew card (for use with your vehicle) and a talk round.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRefunds and Withdrawals\u003c/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eBefore the Ride Close Date\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/strong\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c/strong\u003e\u003cspan class=\"GramE\"\u003eIf\u003c/span\u003e a rider has to withdraw from a ride they must withdraw on line or contact the Ride Secretary (postal entries). The refund is then made against the original credit/debit card by the online system or the Ride Secretary raises a cheque (postal entries). The online system will email the Secretary with confirmation of details of the withdrawal.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003e100% of the ride entry fee is refunded\u003c/strong\u003e, however the credit card surcharge (if paid) is not refundable.\u003cbr\u003e\nIf there are additional charges, which the rider has \u003cspan class=\"GramE\"\u003epaid(\u003c/span\u003e \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003eeg\u003c/span\u003e camping, stabling \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003eetc\u003c/span\u003e), then it should be specified in the online schedule or the ride schedule which charges are refundable. \u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eAfter the Ride Close Date and Before the Vet Time\u003c/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c/strong\u003e\u003cspan class=\"GramE\"\u003eIf\u003c/span\u003e a rider withdraws from a ride that they entered online, then they must withdraw on line - if the ride is still open.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAll riders must also notify the Ride Secretary (no matter how the original entry was made\u003c/strong\u003e). \u003cbr\u003e\nThe rider must then forward proof supporting their request for a refund within 10 days of contacting the Ride Secretary.\u003cbr\u003e\nSupporting proof that can be considered is \u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n \u003cli style=\"margin-left: 36pt;\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"GramE\"\u003ea\u003c/span\u003e doctor’s note or certificate, \u003c/li\u003e\n \u003cli style=\"margin-left: 36pt;\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"GramE\"\u003ea\u003c/span\u003e signed note or certificate from a Veterinary Surgeon, Chartered \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003ePhysio\u003c/span\u003e or Farrier \u003c/li\u003e\n \u003cli style=\"margin-left: 36pt;\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"GramE\"\u003ea\u003c/span\u003e copy of the horse’s \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003emastercard\u003c/span\u003e showing that the horse was eliminated on veterinary grounds not more 16days before the ride date. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003c/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eIf the original entry was online\u003c/span\u003e: when supporting proof is received, the Secretary will email the Office with the details and amount of the refund and a refund is then made against the original credit/debit card by the online system.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eIf the original entry was by post:\u003c/span\u003e when proof is received the Ride Secretary raises a cheque.\u003cbr\u003e\n100% of the ride entry fee will be \u003cspan class=\"GramE\"\u003erefunded .\u003c/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\nIf there are additional charges (stabling, camping, parking, forestry permit \u003cspan class=\"SpellE\"\u003eetc\u003c/span\u003e), which the rider has paid, then it will be specified in the online schedule or the ride schedule whether or not they are refundable. \u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eAfter the Ride Date\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you do not contact the Ride Secretary or Organiser until after the Ride has started, a refund cannot be claimed.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u0026nbsp;\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSubstitutions\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c/strong\u003eA change of horse \u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eor\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/strong\u003e rider may be made up to half an hour before the scheduled preliminary vetting time. Poles should be of a size suitable for horse/pony being corralled i.e. 3’ poles for ponies, 4’ or 5’ for larger horses or those needing a more significant deterrent. There must be at least 2 separate strands of tape round the corral. Tape must be in good condition so that the current is carried efficiently. A tester may be used to check this. Fences must not be slack or in contact with vegetation. All corrals must be electrified when in use. Where the rider is not staying at the Venue, then a responsible person must be designated and their contact details shown. Any concerns must be reported to the RO/TS or HSWS rep. Tents are not allowed in a corralling area. Corrals may only be put up in the designated areas. Safe walkways of at least 2m must be left to allow safe access to corrals. Normally at least 1m should be left between adjacent corrals.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"margin: 0.55pt 0cm 0.0001pt;\"\u003e\u0026nbsp;\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"margin: 0cm 0cm 0.0001pt 5pt;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eRugs \u003c/strong\u003e– if a horse is rugged then the rider must ensure that it is still safe to corral, that it will still feel the effect of the electric fence. At some Venues this may need to be taken home, so plastic bags may be needed.
