As the governing body of the sport of endurance in Great Britain, EGB has always had great respect for our members’ and supporters’ data and for their privacy. EGB has put the necessary policies and procedures in place to be compliant with the GDPR legislation, which includes the Lawful Basis under which EGB processes personal data.
Below you will find the links to the three key documents:
Data Protection Policy: This document sets out in detail EGB’s Data Protection Policy and its approach to GDPR.
Lawful Basis: This document summarises the lawful basis under which EGB collects and uses personal data for the benefit of its members and supporters.
Subject Access Requests can be made to the EGB Office by email at firstname.lastname@example.org with an email subject of “GDPR Subject Access Request”.
A request for personal data to be corrected, limited or completely removed should also be communicated to the EGB Office by email at email@example.com with a subject of “GDPR Action Request”
All emails sent by the system contain a tracking pixel. This is used to track whether each email has been opened by the recipient, and when. This information can be viewed by those users of the system with permission to view email delivery reports. We do not display any information regarding the location of the recipient. Note that the tracking pixel is only activated if the recipient chooses to download images into their email client.
Use this form to send an email to another member. You may only send to one member at a time. Your registered email address will be passed on to this member but you may also include alternative contact details.
Note: Emails sent via the website are not entirely private. A copy of every email is held on the database and this can be accessed by the Endurance GB staff members using the Sent Emails page.
If set, then this will be the default view for those people with whom it is shared, unless they have set their own personal default.
